Kris

I’ve known Kris since I was five years old and I’ve loved her ever since!  She asked me to come out and photograph her with her horse.  She raised her from a baby…  It was a hot night and after she took off the halter and turned her out into the field with the other horses they all ran around, bucking, galloping, getting all sweaty like a bunch of little kids set free for recess.  I used to ride when I was a young girl and have no fear of these big animals so at one point when I was kneeling down in the field to get a low shot, I felt someone creeping up behind me.  It was one of the horses looming over my back, those big nostrils blowing hot air down my neck, curious creatures…they really are like cheeky two year olds.
