Didn’t I recently post about rain and clouds? Yes. Well, my first wedding of 2010 handed me my favorite weather as a little gift. Last Saturday we had rain, sort of. We had clear skies, sort of. The only thing that wasn’t “sort of” was the window of opportunity we had for portraits. Holly and Jason got married in Patterson then everyone drove to The Palm Event Center in Pleasanton for the reception. It rained on the way but by the time we got there the clouds were separating, the skies were sort of clearing, allowing sunset to come through. The light was soft and fading quickly. Still, it was perfect for photos. In winter, light doesn’t linger the way it does in summer. You have to work quickly once it starts to go.
